''The case for my re-mortgage was a complex one and certainly out of the normal criteria for most lenders especially in these difficult times (I know - I tried to go direct to the likes of Abbey, HSBC, etc but failed). I spoke to Ketan at Avenue & Co Private Finance (London) and he advised me to wait a few months as he saw a trend in rates reducing. His logic seemed good so I patiently waited paying a variable rate. True to his promise, Ketan then contacted me notifying me of some new rates and then suggested that I let him try and obtain a mortgage when I was doubtful. Through his knowledge of the markets, and his close relationships with key individuals in the lending department of the lender, he got my case through. Had I re-mortgaged earlier, I would have had to pay a substantially higher rate for a full 2 years.
