Avenue & Co Private Finance -  supporting UNICEF

Every year, Avenue & Co choose a charity that we will work alongside to promote and we will look to donate a generous sum to charity from our turnover and though fundraising events.

Avenue & Co Private Finance have so far raised over £10,000 for UNICEF through sponsored events in the last 5 years.   For every new client, we will donate £50 to UNICEF.

For 2014, we are continuing support Unicef for the 7th year in a row.

Protecting children

UNICEF believes that every child should have clean water, food, health care, education, and a safe environment in which to grow up. UNICEF upholds the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and works to hold the international community responsible for their promises to children.

UNICEF UK also advocates for lasting change for children. For example UNICEF UK’s Public Affairs Team works to change government policies and practices that are detrimental to children’s rights in the UK and internationally.

UNICEF’s global structure

UK ambassadors include Barcelona FC,  Sir Ralph Fiennes, Gerard Pique, Shakira, Jemima Khan, Sir Alex Ferguson, Michael Palin CBE and many more.   Goodwill ambassadors for the UK are David Beckham OBE, Lord Attenborough, Sir Roger Moore and Vanessa Redgrave.

UNICEF’s global activities, policy work and fundraising are coordinated by two international UNICEF offices: one in New York and another in Geneva.
